Supporting New Writing
Artistic Director, Charlie Mortimer, has been exploring best ways of working with new writing for live performance. It has led to various projects with numerous writers who have been assisted in their ideas. The research focuses on creating work specifically for theatre and embraces the challenges this creates in the current climate. Our projects to date have been both funded and voluntary and have been created to suit the individual's need. yet all have included listening tot he writers' intentions, developing their knowledge and understanding of many roles involved with working on a theatre piece and an awareness of the challenges and benefits of creating a piece of theatre for modern audiences in our difficult economic environment
