Hello All
It's taken me a while to write a blog, I never know quite what to say. The position I've found myself in today is that in the midst of line learning, I need to keep taking breaks to let the words sink in. It's going pretty well though, thanks for asking. So TBN this year to date has been non - stop. Earlier in the year we got this website all nice for you, of course if there's anything you'd like to see on here that isn't, please do let us know. Our Co-Production with Thirteen Theatre Co.- Digging Deep, had a great run of dates in Preston and Manchester and got some fantastic reviews, helping to raise awareness of the difficult subject matter. In June we began our Arts Council funded project, Ripples In Concrete and took our discussion to venues in the North - West. We are currently looking into further funding to expand on what we learned while working with new writing. More to come. For the past couple of months we have been planning our output for the remainder of the year and things are moving ahead very, very fast. We have Black Box Tales - An Evening of Monologues by North West Playwrights coming up at the end of the month. We will be working with frequent collaborators and writers/performers new to TBN to bring to audiences some of the compelling stories being written in the region. It is very important us to support new writing and hope you can join us in doing so. On a personal note: my wife, Lindsay has begun to unleash the writer within and I must say she's very good at it. Along with Rob Johnston and Helen East she has written two monologues for the event, one to be performed by me. So do come along. Rehearsals begin soon for our adaptation of Othello - this is going to be a very intense, very physical performance and we hope will captivate Shakespeare fans old and new. Details about all our productions can be found throughout this site, so have a gander. Thanks for reading this, I must now return to line learning. Iago has a General to ruin. Andy
